Forced log out of website since installing AVG

Hi all 
On the weekend I instealled the VPN, Internet Security, AntiTracker tools on my computer. Since then, whenever I am in the online textbook and logged in for one of my university classes about once an hour I get booted off of the website and logged out. This has happened 4 times today. Its the only thing I've changed about my computer -and I have an exam later this week. 

I'm using Chrome, the extension is in the browser (but not using AVG secured browser). 

I have added the textbook website everywhere as an exception I can see to add and that hasn't made a difference. 

any other suggestions!?
