Fraudulent charges

Hello JP,

You've reached the AVG community support forum.
First and foremost, allow me to apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. The experience you shared, is not the intended experience we wanted for you to have had.
Upon checking our records, I can see that you've already contacted us via Facebook regarding the same concern.
My colleague has already processed refund for your charges, which were registered under your misspelled email address.
The refunded amount may take upto 7 business days to reflect in your account.
Again, we're sorry for the discomfort caused. Feel free to write back to us if you need further assistance. Have a great day!

AVG has pending charges on my account for $19.99 and $64.99. Meanwhile, on my subscription overview, it acknowledges that I cancelled my subscription long ago. Also, I received no notification that these charges would be pending at any point, counter to AVG's claims that charge notices are sent in advance. Had I not noticed them on my bank statement, I might have missed the fraudulent activity. These charges need to be gone right away.

This is ridiculous. You have no working US phone number, apparently, and your online chat has had me "third in line" for over an hour.

In the morning, I will be contacting my bank, in order to let them know that the charges are fraudulent. I hate your company. I hate that I ever gave your company money in the past. I hate your business model of consistently pushing pop-ups on paying customers, in order to goad them into buying more of your bloatware. I hate the predatory practices in which you engage. I will never allow anyone in my family to trust AVG, Avast, or any other company attached to your pathetic, phony, illegal charging of customers who are not only unsubscribed, but who have emails of prior contacts, proving that there was no desire to continue a client relationship with you.

To whomever the employee is who reads this: YES, you should feel terrible that you work for a company with the moral high ground of a Calcutta-based scammer, preying on the elderly. Find another job. Do not let them bully you into believing this is the best you can do. You have value, you are worthwhile, and you can succeed in a better company than this one.

Just to recap:

1.) I want these charges voluntarily dismissed on your side.

2.) Because I do not believe you will act in good faith, I am reporting the fraudulent charges as soon as my bank opens in the morning.

3.) AVG, Avast, and any other related companies should be ashamed for their behavior and lack of accountability.

4.) The employees of this company deserve to work for better people.

Thanks, in advance, for eventually apologizing and removing any pending charges, just so you can say that you are not scammers.
