Free AVG PC tune up resulting in need for complete system restore

Hello, David.

Thank you for reaching us with your concerns. I can see from your records that your AVG TuneUp - Unlimited (1 year subscription) is expiring on 12th Feb 2018. I would like to confirm that this subscription will not renew further. You have an active AVG Internet Security (3 computers) license valid till April 2019. Please let us know if you are experiencing any issues with this product and we will be glad to assist you with them.

For information. Further to my communication (below) of 15th January re: having had to pay AVG £58 to do a complete system restore after the free AVG PC tune up locked me out of MS office. Although I still have a year left on my AVG subscription, I now have such little confidence in AVG that I have removed it from my PC.

If you read all of my previous comments on this matter you will note that installing AVG tune up ruined my PC and AVG charged me for the priviledge of doing a system restore to remedy it. Because of this,  I have no faith in AVG and have removed AVG protection even though it does not run out until 2019. Your reference to AVG tune-up indicates that you have not read or taken on board my dissatisfaction with AVG on this specific matter, which is what this discussion is all about. As I have removed AVG protection from my PC I do not anticipate ongoing problems with this product. This being the only way I can feel sure that my system will not be compromised by AVG.
