Free Client Wants me to pay

Hello Lapse,

I understand this must be upsetting, I will certainly assist you with that. Please be informed that AVG trial version can be installed only on one computer for one time. Once it expires, we need to purchase the full version or you can just uninstall it to get rid of the buying popup messages. To install AVG free,  I would request you to follow the steps in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product to run both the removal tools (AVG Remover and AVG Clear tool) to remove AVG trial version & traces completely from your computer.

I couldn't find anything that explains my exact problem which is why I have come here.

Allow me to explain: 30 days ago, I was asked if I wanted to do another free trial of AVGs full services. naturally, I allowed it, and now those 30 days have expired, and the free client wants me to buy full services. I do not want that, I only want AVG's 'free' version. I have always used the 'free' version and this is the first time I've come up with an error of this kind. I tried repairing it twice and it did nothing. Moreover, I can't even scan anymore without getting that same prompt to buy it.

Please help me.

No problem, Lapse. I really appreciate your efforts in fixing this issue. If you face any difficulties in future, please reinstall AVG free and check it.

Have a nice day!

See, here is the thing. Ironically AVG just sent me a popup no less than a few hours ago, presenting me with something like 70$ off the full version for using it for 150 days. I'm not new to AVG.
I was just given a second shot at a free trial or something, and I knew it was the full thing because it expired in 30 days, and I was able to use the tune-up function. Rest assured it happened upon me randomly.

I was doing other things and went to go check AVG again, tried repairing it a few more times (Sometimes the UI came up with a blank grey box) and now it is suddenly letting me scan again, and its well on its way to completing the scan.

If It doesn't let me see my results like it didn't the last time, I'll for sure follow the steps as you've laid out for me. However, if it does, I guess I'll remember this when it happens again.

Stay tuned, I guess.
