Free edition basic scan keeps running but says 100%

Hello Geary.
Are you referring to the virus scan in AVG AntiVirus free or the maintenance scan in AVG TuneUp?

picked up a virus then ran a basis scan. Would not stop then ran full scan and cleaned computer. Still running. can I uninstall and reinstall?
