Frustrated with smart scan

That is not what happens, it does not continue the scan until I click next. I tested this last night - the scan does not continue until after I click next. I started the scan and then walked away, after the browser scan was complete the scan stopped until I clicked next (I waited 30 minutes before clicking next), and I watched the scan progress as it scaned all the files. If what you say was true then I wouldn't have to wait for the scan to complete. Hope you understand this.

How many are frustrated with the Smart Scan option that you can't start and walk away from? It stops to tell me the browsers are ok and makes me click next, then it stops to tell me there is no malware and makes me click next. This is not very smart. I just want to start the scan and continue with my day, not waiting for each part of the scan to complete.

Hi Darryl,

We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused.

The scan was designed in such away that only after you click next the next scan results will be shown.
You can welcome to share your feedback to the concerned team.
AVG >> Menu >> About >> Submit Feedback

OMG - you don't even know your own program. There is no Submit Feedback link anywhere in the program. And I know you have to click next to see the next scan, that's the damn design I'm complaining about.

If you're going to tell people how to do something in the program make bloody sure you know what the menu options are in the latest versions.

It's support like this that are making me move to another program. I will not be renewing any of my AVG programs.

This isn't the usual behavior of AVG program, Darryl.
Please let us know the version of AVG that is installed on your computer (Open AVG - Menu - About).
Meanwhile, you can try repairing the AVG program once to check if it helps.
