"Full Protection" not activating

Sometimes, this might happen if few services are unable to initiate. 
You can try repairing AVG program once & then restart your computer to check if it helps.

Having installed the Internet Security package, the notifications screen advises that my computer is not fully protected as "Some Shields are turned off" 
Clicking on the "Turn on" button has no effect. 
How does one get these shields activated?
