Hi Lex,
I'm sorry to hear that the scan is unable to complete. Please try to repair the AVG Internet Security and check once.
To repair your AVG please follow these instructions:
1. Go to Start -> Control Panel.
Note: Click Settings first if Control Panel is not available in the Start menu.
2. Open (Programs) -> Programs and Features, or Add or Remove Programs.
3. Select AVG in the list of programs.
4. Click the Change or Change/Remove button.
5. Select Repair.
6. Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the installation.
7. Restart your computer.
In case the issue persists, please provide me a screenshot of the error. Here is a link with the steps to create a screenshot: http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot . You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Hi, I have the same problem as mentioned earlier.Have Siera 10.12.6 and BOOTCAMP Win10 on board. For three days I let the scan run for 9 hours and then it gets stuck at 98% (has detected 7 threats!) but blocks my system and I have to pull the plug.I am on a 30 day FREE trial for the PRO version after I have always run the free version.
Last message at 98% was /volumes/BOOTCAMP/Program Files (x 86)/AVG/Setup/license_us.html
I am working in Belgium Thx
Thx but I will leave all 9 threats in quarantine. I know too little what each of the threats represent. safety first is my motto.
Thank you for the update.
I appreciate your efforts in trying the workaround.
Please go ahead in resolving the threat detection and keep us informed about the status.
Akash, I was running the Mac Scanner on my MAC HD and what you describe as a possible solution is a windows programme. Do you want me to leave the MAC HD and open the Win10 section to perform your recommended repair???
You are most welcome.
Thank you for understanding.
