I have AVG anti virus for Mac, and every time I try to run a full scan, the program crashes at about 27% after running for about 20-minutes. I already tried uninstalling the program, rebooting, and then reinstalling the latest AVG antivirus for Mac download. Any suggestions?
Hi Kishore,
I tried your instructions, but it still does not work.
I notice that it seems to crash when it tries to scan a folder that has an alias shortcut. Perhaps the program is following the alias to another folder that has another alias that brings it right back, thus getting stuck in an endless loop? It would be nice to be able to tell the program to not follow alias's.
I have successfully been able to drag and drop and scan all folders that do not have an alias, so my theory may be worth while to check out.
Just a thought.
Hi, I am also facing the same problem. Is that issue fixed now ? Thanks.
