Gear Icon and auto shut down

I purchased AVG Internet Security in May of 2017 (1 year license).  There is no longer a gear icon next to scan.  I want to change my automatic scheduled scan.  Also, computer is no longer shutting down after auto scan.

I have not received a requirements e-mail.

Hi, 

My AVG has stopped shutting down after the scan completes. It first did this about 2 weeks ago just after the update to Version 17.9.3040 on 21/12/17

Cindy, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Simon, this is the known issue. To analyze the issue further with the scan settings, we need to submit your concern to the senior technicians with the diagnostic files. Please follow the email steps and provide the necessary details to assist further.

Sorry for the trouble, Simon. 

Could you recheck your email? We have resent that email to collect log files required for escalation.You can share the screenshot via email with scan settings interface where you have checked the auto shut down option.

Thanks for this, but what data do you want? The scan is set to shut down on completion, by ticking the box on the 'Scheduling' Screen, just as it always has been, but now it doesn't shut down like it always did before.
