Hello Marpadga,
We regret for the inconvenience caused. We suggest you not to contact any third party customer support service since it could be a 'scam'. To resolve this issue, we suggest you to remove conflicting antivirus products if any (http://avgread.me/1K1IqEh) and then remove AVG traces using remover tool( http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe ). Please restart to complete the uninstalling process. After running AVG Remover, you may need to manually uninstall any remaining AVG files and also 'search' for a folder "AVG Remover"(usually in 'C' drive) and please delete it manually. And then install your AVG program by downloading from http://www.avg.com/us-en/download .After successful installation of your AVG program, we suggest you to go to 'control panel' list of installed programs and then uninstall any unwanted programs which you feel could be suspicious and then scan your computer using AVG(http://avgread.me/1IFBzKT).
Show details window said;
Threat: General behavior detection
Target:Mozilla/Firefox.exe
Severity: medium
Identified by: identity protection
I let it run but even at 8 in the morning it was still working and said unresolved.
Then I called a number found on Google, which claimed AVG tech support. This guy asked me to install gotoassist and remotely logged into my PC. Then he checked my system config and showed me a list of Kernel driver window and said i have too many conflicts between two PCs becuase AVG was not compatible with WIN 10. He suggested to replace AVG with something else, at which point I got suspicious and stopped it. uninstalled Gotoassist software. currently i am scanning both PCs with AVG software. How much security threat would it pose and what else can i do to prevent such stuff? Thanks.
