Hello Yuri, you might have contacted them when the queue was very high. When the queue is high, it would usually take some time to connect to them. I request you to wait patiently until you get connected to them. They are available round the clock and I request you to try connecting to them again and wait for sometime. Thank you for your understanding.
There is no problem (I think) with contcting Remote Support, as I download and run the Remote Support tool successfully. But after waiting for a couple of minutes it times out stating there are no technicians available. Try again later… Then I keep have to go back to the AVG Remote Support website, enter all my details again and re-download the Remote Support tool…
In the mean time, I still have the 'General Error' problem…
Yuri, thank you for trying it out and I appreciate your efforts. Please follow these steps to send us diagnostic information from your computer. This information will allow us to analyze the situation and provide you with solution:
Click this link http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe to download the AVG SysInfo tool.
Run the downloaded tool.
Click Accept to confirm the license agreement, and then click Continue.
Once the screen Output created is shown, fill in any additional details, or click Attach if you want to attach any additional files, such as screenshots.
Click Send, fill in your email address, and then click Send again.
We will analyze the received files and provide you with further information.
Can you please make the tool stop timing out then?
My AVG regularly has the problem that it cannot update. This message just pops up showing no usefull details at all:
There is nothing in the Windows eventlog to find out what the problem is.
The 'solution' posted here does not work. Even on freshly installed Windows 7 (64-bit) this error occurs. So what now? Can AVG fix this is should I find another working antivirus program?

Hello Yuri, sorry to hear that. Are you experiencing any issue while contacting our Remote Support?
Hello Yuri, I am sorry, I am afraid there isn't an option to do so. I will pass on your valuable feedback to the concerned team so that they will implement it as early as possible. I request you to connect to them now if possible and wait for sometime.
