Getting "An unexspected error occured"

When exactly do you receive this error message?
If it is while turning on the VPN connection, please uninstall and install AVG Secure VPN again to resolve the issue.

Have over 230 days remaining.  Then VPN stopped working on my Laptop.  Can't uninstall.  Does not see the file.
