Getting locked out of my SD card after abotu 5 minutes of use

Does anyone have any problems with AVG locking their SD cards?  How do you overcome it?

My problem is after some time (which seems to vary), the SD card that I have plugged into my laptop's internal SD-card-reader goes into lock-down mode and nothing is editable.  WHY?

PLEASE READ:
My SD card is not locked from the mechanical mechanism on the "card".

* My SD card is plugged into the laptop's internal card reader is the only time I have this issue.  (ie it does not lock in external readers)
* It does not matter what app I try to use (word Perfect, Word, IE, File Explorer, copy then paste, NOTHING WORKS, as the drive is completely locked out (read only mode).
* Sometimes ejecting the SD card and re-inserting it works, but most of the time within 5 minutes it's locked again.
* I have tried to go into "ransom ware settings" and add various applications, but no go, once locked, I'd screwed, no update access.
* Have gone into device manager and deleted the driver for the internal SD reader.  Sometimes I've gotten and entire day before the lock is re-engaged.
* Powering off the computer does sometimes help, occasionally I can get several hours that way.
* When the computer wakes up from Hibernation, it's a 100% guaranteed to wake up and be locked out (read-only).
* It's not electable, try to eject it, and it says in use.  The only way to eject it is from file explorer and forcing using that eject with the "continue anyway" option.

I'm really at a loss.
I don't know of any tools to try to figure out what's locking it (apps, service, etc)
It did not do this before AVG was installed.

Anyone have suggestions?  Please!

Thank you,

Randy
