For about three weeks now my laptop, operating on windows 7, has been infected with a browser originating in China called, Baidu or HAO123 which, try as I might, and even running AVG to find and destroy it, I cannot get rid of. I've tried all the usual things like resetting my browser page, even gone into the registry to eliminate it, and used a programme called RegSeeker to find and remove it, but if I shut the computer down and restart it the following day, this browser is back again, placing an icon on my desktop and overriding my usual browser of Google Chrome and Yahoo. Why didn't AVG pick up on this and even fail to remove it from my computer?
