Dear Balasubmaranian,
Thank you for your very kind reply.
If I may just ask is it possible to use the mcafee removal too if I have NEVER EVER installed Mcafee ?
I feel that the "hlpnowp-c.com" has sent the nuisance programme rather than traces of Mcafee that I had installed (which, as I say I haven't)? Am I wrong sir ?
Do you still need a screenshot next time this nuisance shows up on my screen then?
With respect and thanks
Colin Roberts
Thanks Karthikeyay
Ive just used AVG maintenance to do a few things so I know AVG is still here (my wonderful avg!)
Ill get the Mcafee tool and do it, but I must say I did this a few days ago, However it wont do any harm to do it again.
Thanks for your kind advice
Colin

Do I just ignore all these warnings if I reset Internet Explorer, will it be ok?
Gents, as you can see the flippin' Mcafee phoney prompt has returned. As I say, ive never had mcafee, and I have used the mcafee removal tool (and for a while I thought it had done the trick).
I dont know what to do about it??
Thanks Gentlemen
Colin
Karthikeyan, thanks for that kindness!
Your colleague has visited my machine and all appears to be working fine, without Mcafee popups
now! LOL if I ever see mcafee again, it will be too soon! hahaha
Thanks again for all the valuable time you chaps spend on me.
Bless you all
Colin
gentlemen,im back im afraid.
I reset internet explorer but i got a "website return error" tab all the time,so I did system restore.
This removed the error tab but Mcafee warning retured.
Have I messed up?
Colin
Im a bit confused for I expected the avg that I love to protect me from ALL adware., perhaps this is a new one just out though? I have never ever had Mcafee and every day im getting a notice that it has expired and I need to renew.
I see on a site that is pushing Malwarebytes cleaner that what I have is "malicious adware" drom "hlpnowp-c.com".
I thought that my avg protection would have detected and stopped this virus ? and I don't think I should use this cleaner when I have a perfectly goo (I think) Antivirus prog in avg.
Would it be possible for someone to look into this for me please?
Many thanks and best wishes
Colin

We also recommend you to remove unwanted add-ons, plugins and extensions from your browsers.

Well, as requested by Karthikeyay I ran the Mcafee removal tool and started to browse. Within 15 minutes the Mcafee Pop Up showed itself again!
Thanks for the valuable time you are giving me people, Im very grateful.
Colin
Colin, if you check the box "delete personal settings" and select "reset", all the information (saved passwords, cookies, homepage etc) that are displayed in the list will be deleted.
Once done with that, browse from Internet Explorer and check whether you are getting McAfee popup.
Colin,
We are here to help. May I know the name of the browser in which you are encountering this popup?
You are welcome, Colin.

Colin, There's no harm in downloading & running the McAfee removal tool (http://us.mcafee.com/apps/supporttools/mcpr/mcpr.asp).
