Green Popup stating 'You are protected' stays open

I am using the latest version of Windows 10 Home 64bit.

Yes, the green pop-up stays open all the time until the system is rebooted or restarted.
Performing a Repair or an uninstall/reinstall using a newly downloaded installer (with reboots in between) does not resolve the issue.

You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on Answer & then click on the Image [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
We will escalate this case to our higher team to get a fix, for doing that we need to collect AVG Logs from your PC.
We will send an email stating the logs collecting steps, please refer it and revert us back.

This issue has been occurring for over seven months.

When I hover my mouse over the AVG icon in the taskbar, a green popup box appears stating 'AVG Antivirus Free - You are protected.'  This popup stays open until I reboot or shut down.
I have tried performing a Repair as suggested and also a total uninstall/reinstall with reboots in between.

Please advise.

Would you be so kind to clarify whether you experience this issue with the AVG icon alone in system tray?
Also, let us know whether you've used AVG Clear tool while uninstalling (clean installation).

Hi Bill,

We're glad to look into this & help you. 
It is the usual behavior of AVG icon in taskbar to show the protection status, when the cursor is hovered on the icon. 
From your description, it seems that the message stays there even the cursor isn't hovered on the icon & it isn't the usual behavior. 
Please let us know the operating system installed on your computer.

This issue only occurs with the AVG systray icon.

I have not tried the 'AVG Clear' tool.  Please provide a download link and I will try that.

 

I have performed a clean installation using the AVG Clear application and the provided instalation file following all the instructions provided including all required reboots.
The issue still exists.

Please advise on the next steps.
