I am running the paid AVG and having run a deep scan last night with no issues found i powered my laptop up this morning and noticed a 'G' icon/shortcut on the google chrome browser that i use.
I have not noticed this before and so clicked on it, the address appears in the address bar at the top of the page but nothing happens…
Checked on line as to what the address is and it appears to be one i definitely dont want on my PC…
Is it a virus as some are saying and if so should AVG have picked up on it and removed it…
As a foot note i was only checking this out as we have recently been receiving several threats from a supposed hacker demanding bitcoins or information will be released etc but all our deep scans are clear…

We request you to move your mouse pointer to this icon and it will show you three small vertical dots on it.
Click on it and select "remove" option.
We also request you to uninstall the unnecessary/unwanted programs and also remove the add-ons, extensions and plugins and you are unaware or not using.
