Hacker and Improved web security turned off

Hello John,

This isn't the expected behavior of AVG Internet Security. We'll look into this & help you.
Initially, please let us know if you were referring to the Hacker Attacks - Password Protection component, as the shield that was often getting disabled.
Also, you mentioned that after you tried to it on, the AVG Internet Security program crashed. Did you try any troubleshooting steps to fix the crash? (Repair/Reset/Reinstall)
If yes, please let us know the actions you had performed. Thanks in advance. Keep us updated.

My AVG Pro has for several days started up without Hacker and Improved security running. This morning the program froze several times when I tried to turn them on. In history it reported finding problems since December 25, but I could not access any description of these and my only option was to chose to ignore them all. Now there are no problems and no history of problems or list of ignored problems, and alle sections are green. Should I be worried or proud of myself for solving a problem by ignoring them?

Hello
It was the Hacker attacks, Password Protection component which started disabled most days I think. This I could fix by moving the slider, but the improved web security (My Danish version uses other names, so sorry I’m not precise here) was probably causing the crash. I didn’t restart the program or anything, as I didn’t want to disable all protection, if I in actuel fact was being targeted by some malicious attempt to breach AVG. So I didn’t chose to close the program, but waited until it woke up again. This happened several times, but I could work in Word while this was going on. Finally, I chose to enter the Red hacker box instead of just asking the program to fix the problem. There I could move the slider. For the web security, I could see a list of encountered problems and dates, but no details. My only option was to ignore them all, which cleared history and any list of ignored problems.
Hope you can help.
Yours
John
