Hello Francois,
I am sorry to hear that the issue persists. Please open AVG Internet Security->Menu->About->Subscription. You can see an option "Logout", please click on the same and logout from the subscription. Once this is done, wait for few minutes, you will be prompted to restart or the AVG program will downgrade to free version. Please restart your computer and then open AVG Zen interface and login back using your AVG MyAccount details and check if that fix the issue. If the issue persists, please contact us and we will escalate this case to the senior team.
Thanks for emailing the link. I tried all the steps mentioned above still without any success.
Will check out the link in the next day or two when I have a moment.
Thanks again.

OK, I tried you instructions. It did however not work. Windows firewall is still on at this stage and AVG refuses to overrride it. Not sure why this happened all of a sudden. I did not change any of my settings.
Could it be that my subscription expired? It says my next billing date is next year June.

I have disabled windows firewall and enabled avg firewall through the windows settings. On the AVG deisplay page it now shows its on and working again. Windows however is noe reporting that no firewall is active. I am not sure which one is telling the truth now. Is the problem with AVG or Windows?
