This is because a VPN encrypts traffic and data before sending it to a server. Depending on the distance and capacity of the server, this process may cause a slightly slower, but safer, internet connection.
You can try to change the location to different one and check the status. Also, please share the screenshot of the offer message which you want to stop receiving. So, we can check and help you further with it.

I am very annoyed by the recurring AVG Secure VPN subscription offers.
I don't care because the installed program significantly reduces the quality of my connection
- Speed download from approx. 99mbps to 20-60mbps, upload from 90mbps to 15-25mbps
- Ping response from 2-6ms to 20-40ms
- Jitter from 1-2ms to 80-150ms !!!
If necessary, I can use a custom solution that does not reduce the connection speed.
How should I proceed so that the offers stop bothering me?
It cannot be set in the AVG menu in Do Not Disturb mode
