Hello, and thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately, I am not able to provide a screen shot. When I powered up this PC this morning, it immediately started to download the AVG update. When it had finished, it gave me a message to tell me that AVG had updated and had also installed the 'hardware accelerator' which could be activated via the Settings menu. That message disappeared when I logged onto the AVG home page, and is not recoverable. I would have thought that an AVG programmer would be able to access whatever notifications were included with the update. If they can, it may be possible to find thay particular notification. Sorry I can't be more specific. I'm not worrying about not having the 'hardware accelerator' but if it's being provided FOC I may use it. I presume other AVG customers had similar updates and messages this morning.
Hello Andy,
We are glad to look into this and help you.
On checking your account details, we could see the following AVG product being active: AVG Internet Security (Multi-Device) (10 devices), valid until December 29, 2022.
AVG TuneUp is an optimization tool that includes a range of scans to detect unnecessary items and performance issues, freeing up disk space and improving the speed of your system.
If possible, could you please share us the screenshot of "hardware accelerator" in order to check and help you further?

I have today received a program update notification, part of which informed me that AVG has now installed a "hardware accelerator" which is apparently intended to speed up my PC, and I could find details on how to activate it in the 'Settings' menu. Well, I've looked there in all the options - nothing. I've searched the program - nothing. And I've run a search on the AVG website - still nothing. So can anyone tell me what the heck this "hardware accelerator" is, what it does, and how it is accessed and activated, assuming it doesn't require further subscription? Many thanks.
