I have asked this question before but when I log into the AVG Forum I need a "my questions" button to locate replies (if any). Has AVG admin structure been hacked?
1) Dodgy Pop-up: Wrong renewal date (6 months early), wrong product, hefty discount for early renewal, BUY NOW. Received 2-3 times a week. From "AVG". All the hall-marks of a scam.
2) Queried with AVG (I think) by email and phone, and sent screen copies of pop up and current subscription as requested
3) Email from "AVG" that my order is ready and awaiting payment. I have made no order.
Who is this "AVG" which is trying to scam money off me?
Spoke to AVG today by phone - zero concern shown. I asked to speak to security. Confusion.
I suspect it's a mistake by AVG, but they need to clarify. I use the emotive word "hacked" in the hope that AVG may just wake up and act. If the pop-ups and email are scams, I'm very concerned.
How can I get AVG to respond? This is their last chance before I go to the media and TRUSTPILOT.
