We need to check whether you have default firewall settings. Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu at the top right -> Settings -> Components -> Enhanced firewall -> Customize -> System rules -> make sure all the task has been enabled.
Again, Enhanced Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> change all the profiles from public to Private.
Go to AVG Internet Security main interface -> Hackers Protection -> Ransomware Protection -> check whether it is under Smart Mode. Then click on Blocked/ Allowed apps -> Blocked apps -> remove excel and add it to allowed apps. We are here if you need further help.
My excel file have been giving me problems after the last trouble call to AVG. All my excel file are read only and do not know why.
