Yesterday I received an e-mail from "AVG" offering additional protection if I purchased a copy of AVG Secure VPN. The e-mail appeared to same as others I have received informing that I need to update various AVG products. I decided to by a two year license and paid £59.76 including VAT.
As usual I received an order confirmation, and at that point I noticed that the e-mail source e-mail address was avg.cs@digitalriver.com it gave the order number as Order #10219225872. Being concerned I attempted to register the purchase by logging into AVG/my account. It refused to register stating that the order number was invalid.
HAVE I BEEN SCAMMED, HAVE I PURCHASED FROM A CLONE AVG SITE?
