Have windows xp and AVG program says it cannot remove the virus win32/patched. Is there anything else I can do since the pop up screen keeps showing up?

Download the AntiMalwerbytes and do a complet scan after he find the virus clear them and restart your computer if dont work do a scan whit AntiMalwerbytes in a safe mode .
