Having the same issue as this post from 2015

Virus detection in safe mode | AVG

i see in the post where the customer is emailed further instructions.  I am interested in knowing what those instructions are.  Getting the same "Locked file.  Not scanned.  Is ok" message.

my computer seems non-responsive so I have been running scans.  I'm in safe mode and have ran Malwarebytes and am now doing an avg scan.  6 files were found in Malwarebytes.  Is it because I am in safe mode that these files are all "locked"?

I am sorry to hear that. Please send us the screenshot(http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of the error message you received and also let us know the version of AVG program installed in your computer.

Julie, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Thank you for the screenshot. I see from the screenshot that you have older version of AVG installed in your computer and that might be the cause of this issue. This threats that were detected can be a false detection.

I suggest you to completely remove the older version of AVG Internet Security from your computer control panel and install the latest version from this link: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection. And activate the product using the license number you have.
