OK Ted, Yes… Have a look @ this webpage (http://www.avg.com/ww-en/download.prd-afh-free). Use the full 32bit [x86] or 64bit [x64] install file. If you're not sure about 32 or 64bit on your neighbour's system have a look @ this link (http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/827218).

Hi and hope you can help with this:
Elderly neighbour has bought a second-hand Windows 8 laptop, and uses a pay-as-you-go Vodaphone broadband dongle.
Tried to help him download AVG free antivirus, but his broadband is so slow, it keeps timing out before anything is installed.
My own desktop PC is Windows 7, with broadband cable connection. Would it be possible for me to download the AVG free program to a USB stick and then install it into my neighbour's laptop?
