Help please, uninstall AVG from a Apple MacBook Air?

I have installed AVG antivirus free. Ever since I installed it, I get constant error notifications. I have installed AVG twice to make sure the install was complete. How do I uninstall? I called tech support and they cannot help. The best they could do was direct me to an AVG site that said to use the uninstall button after opening AVG. I do not see that button anywhere. Please help!

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. You can find the uninstallation trigger in Application Controls area (while AVG AV windows is active in foreground) under AVG AntiVirus dropdown menu item by clicking on Uninstall AVG AntiVirus button. Thank you.
