Here goes ...AGAIN! email worm

Further note to my question preceding (email worm) I would like to mention I have two computers covered (paid) by AVG which includes emails. It failed on this one.

This is my second attempt on here. The first just disappeared before submitting.

I received an email from me and I didn't send it.  Apparently a weight loss company has been able to access my Windows 7 email program (Outlook) and use my contacts to send around their web site info. My contacts will think this is from me as the email is headed up in my name so they probably will open it and in turn become infected and this process will then repeat itself in their name.  How can this be stopped or my system protected in future and also remove their worm and future access to my contacts?  Thanks:  Thomas

Hello Thomas,

We do understand your concern.
Did you visit any weight loss website and created any account there or did you click on any of the advertisement link of weight loss company?
Usually this issue occurs when you visit any untrusted websites and create any account there or click on any advertisement links.
We request you to first change the  password of your email account, inform your contacts that not to click on any weird spam email links sent from you.
Do you get any spam emails?

I did, when i received an email a few weeks ago from a familiar name as part of this spurious process. I trusted the sender and when I opened the web site  contained in the email it was a weight loss promotion (immediately deleted) Today I have been tinkering with moving files and setting up a new email account with new password, however did try changing password on existing email account first and it wouldn't take so have to keep following that up as don't necessarily want to delete it altoether.and go with the new email right away. New email set up as last resort.
How did this worm get past my AVG protection? How can I get rid of it?  Why is there no warning on snopes on this?
