So I've made a c++ companion app for a game that me and my friends play together. Anyone who uses AVG can't use it though as AVG flags my app as malicious which in turn causes BattlEye(anti cheat software used by the game in question) to prevent the game from starting.
Is there any way I can solve this or make AVG understand that my app isn't malicious?

Hello Daniel,
I apologize for the inconvenience. For a temporary fix, please Right-click the AVG icon in the system tray next to the clock and turn off the protection temporarily. Then download the game file, add it to the AVG Exception list https://help.avg.com/en/avg_free/17/settings_general.html#exclusions and then turn on AVG protection.
Then, please use this link https://www.avg.com/en-ww/whitelist-program-application to report a false positive in AVG Whitelisting service.
