Hello Elliott. Sorry to hear that. For your information, Msahci.sys is a Windows driver. A driver is a small software program that allows your computer to communicate with hardware or connected devices. This means that a driver has direct access to the internals of the operating system, hardware etc. I would request you add this to the AVG's exception by following the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/18WB2dg and submit the sample by following the steps mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1GgMyPc. Thank you.
Hello, I haven't used a forum for help with an issue like this before so I'm not sure what information I need to provide.
I ran a virus scan using AVG free and it found a high threat level virus which was unresolved. The scan has identified the virus as a Anti-Rootkit found inC:\Windows\System32\Drivers\dump_msahci.sys
I then ran a scan with Malware Bytes and nothing was found.
Thank you for any help.
