Hello Alex,
I understand the inconvenience.
Please get into control panel "Uninstall Program" window by following the steps as mentioned in this article: http://avgread.me/1DEtNP0 and check whether there are two entries of AVG Internet Security program listed.
If yes, please uninstall one of the entry that has the date older than other one.

Hi All,
Just build a new pc with an i7-8700k and noticed that AVG is burning through cpu time…
It uses between 25-35% of my 12 threads in idle (no scanning performed…).
Any ideas how to solve this?
Thanks in advance!
