Thanks for your quick reply.
AVG Clear gets always stuck right after the start. Only the lttle window with the title 'AVG Antivirus Clear' and the green bar moving between left and right pops up. I tried it also in the 'Windows protected mode'.
Only Windows defender is installed on my PC, with real-time protection deactivated.
When tryíng to uninstall from the control panel I'm getting a message window saying 'Setup is already running. Please try to start the setup later'. Below in the window is a button 'View log'. Pressing it brings up a window with an empty log.
Like I said above, there always several 'AVG Antivirus Installer' processes in the Windows process list.
I guess this is the reason why all kind of deinstallation attempts are failing.
Meanwhile the behavior of AVG Antivirus became worse. It is not able anymore to load new updates and virus definitions. So, my PC is not fully protected anymore.
Hello,
I have 'AVG Antivirus Free' installed on Windows 10.
Since days it is using more than 60% of the CPU. In the Windows process list I see 5 procecess with the name 'AVG Antivirus Installer', each using between 7% and 13% CPU.
All my attempts to uninstall AVG failed. I tried all ways that I found on the web (incl. avgclear).
Thanks for your help
Hi Gg,
We're sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We will have to investigate why there is high CPU usage.
Could you confirm whether you were able to run AVG clear tool as mentioned in this article and remove AVG Antivirus free traces?
Could you let us know whether there is any other third party antivirus program installed on your PC?
Thanks for your quick reply.
