I have AVG VPN, Internet Security, and Tune-up for Mac and as they were all giving me some trouble I tried to uninstall and reinstall when I came across the following:

AVG Antivirus with the ghostbusters don't try it emoji over it and when I followed it through it went through folders named Contents, Backend, Drivers, and finally two Kext files AVG Packetforwarder and Fileshield.  I am unable to uninstall and the error message says AVG IS a part of my MacOS now and can't be removed.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated because I also can't reinstall although that is all that is left.

Andrew, please remove all AVG folders manually as suggested in the second method.

But  AVG AntiVirus is listed in my apps, and when I double click it, AVG Internet Security opens.  When I uninstalled AVGIS, it left AVGAV in the Kext files and they are not removable.  It says they are a part of my MacOS now.
