How can I 'allow' Windows Hello to use my camera?

I fixed this by using the following steps:
- Disabled AVG
- Setup Windows Hello Facial Recognition
- Enabled AVG
- Rebooted
- Windows Hello Facial Recongition via internal camera could not start camera
- Used Pin to login
- Disabled AVG Webcam Protection
- Rebooted
- Was able to use Windows Hello Facial Recongition to login as Windows Facial Recognition via internal camera worked OK
- Enabled AVG Webcam Protection
- Rebooted
- Was able to use Windows Hello Facial Recongition to login as Windows Facial Recognition via internal camera worked OK
- For here on in, I am able to use Windows Hello Facial Recongition to login

Hi Susan,

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.
There is an ongoing issue with the AVG Webcam protection. Our developers are already aware of it & working on it to fix it shortly.
It would be fixed in the upcoming update (22.8). Meanwhile, disabling the Webcam  protection is the workaround.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!

Starting a few days ago, I have been unable to use facial recognition via Windows Hello to sign into my laptop.  (The error message is "windows couldn't turn on camera".)  After some experimentation, it appears this is related to AVG, as when I turn off Webcam protection, Windows Hello can turn on my webcam.  I don't see Windows Hello as one of the choices to tell the app to allow access.  I have the camera itself and Windows Security as Allowed apps, but still get the same error message unless Webcam Protection is completely turned off.

How do I get AVG to allow Windows Hello to turn on the webcam?  Thank you.
