This behavior is really strange and looks like hardware issue. Have you tried unplugging your keybord when this is happening?
However I'd like to ask you for AVG log files - http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe - for closer analysis. Specialists will contact you on your e-mail after analysis.

If I leave my PC or a length of time, when I come back and try to select an icon on my desktop, the computer starts rapidly running through the icons from bottom to top and then trys to selet the top icon. The only way I can stop it is to select "restart". When it cycles through the computer seems to work properly as long as I stay on it. If I leave it for a while again, it starts the recycling again. Somebody said I needed a new mouse but I've tried that with no correction to the problem.
