How do I disable the AVG email scanner advice flag

Every time my email client downloads mail, the AVG email scanner pops a flag over the work I'm doing and stops me typing. What is worse is that when I close the flag on the AVG scanner flag I find that my work is lost because the application I was typing into lost focus and I have to start again.
Is there ANY way to alter this behavior so that I can continue to type and not loose my work?

We are sorry to know that. You do have an option to change the notification of AVG email scanner. Please uncheck the same to stop this notifications. Please open the AVG program and click on Options->Advanced Settings->Appearance->disable notification of email scanner.
