When i try to log in to Avg free to scan for virus's etc, i keep getting this error message,
Well this is Embarrassing, We've run into a problem,Please restart your computer & try again(Which I've done) If the issue persists please reinstall the app or contact customer support.
How can this be fixed, My PC runs on Windows 7.

- Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
4)Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.
Note : Please use the AVG Remover tool mentioned on the article to uninstall the AVG program more effectively.

Thank you for the information.I can see that the issue which you are currently expriencing is caused by recent updates of AVG. No need to worry, let us resolve the issue by following below mentioned steps. We would request you to remove previously installed AVG program traces from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG protection free.
Note:If you have installed any other Antivirus programs like AVAST, NORTON, MCAFEE or KASPERSKY, Please uninstall it first to avoid conflicts when installing AVG.
Once you have uninstalled from your system,try to follow the steps which mentioned below.
Remover and Download:
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe .
1.a) please ignore the restart and try to run the AVG clear: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe .
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
