How do I get a program out of sleep mode?

We regret any inconvenience caused.
It looks like you have put your printer to sleep using AVG TuneUp while running the PC maintenance tasks. Please wake it up manually to resolve this issue.

Open AVG TuneUp, click Speed Up tile.
Click Background application and programs.
Scroll down to bottom to see the list of programs that were put to sleep.
Check if printer is listed and click 'Wake' against it.

Now verify if printer is working fine. We recommend that you do not put the frequently used applications to sleep mode.

Recently AVG asked me if I wanted to put my printer into sleep mode.  I said yes.  However, now I can't get my printer to print.  Any ideas? How do I get it out of sleep mode?
