To check if AVG is working : Open AVG Internet Security on your computer (double click on AVG desktop icon) - Check if you see the message 'you're protected' in the homepage.
To check if the subscription is active : Open AVG Internet Security - Menu - Subscriptions - Check the renewal date listed beside AVG Internet Security.

I have 'basic protection' on my new Mac. I purchased the upgrade and my activation code is
