I see hundreds of questions on the same subject and I see always the same tactic of AVG. They give the steps to "stop" it, when people say they already did so and it does not work, AVG asks for screenshots, when people insist AVG finally says it is not possible to stop them, they say it is legitimate publicity and if you don't like it, then click it away. If that's so, why all denial and lies first? As so may others say, I paid for software like AVG to stop this kind of intrusions on my PC, but now AVG is doing it themselves. Since AVG refuses to change their policy, I stopped automatic renewal and I start using other protection software when my subscription ends. Every time a pop up appears, I will put negative publicity on AVG on social networks and review sites.
