How do I remove AVG Free from my Android phone"

Seems this is still a problem 

And this is still a problem on Android at the end of 2021

The help provided here is useless now as these options have changed or no longer exist. Top job AVG

Because of an incompatibility issue, I need to remove the free AVG I installed, but there isn't an option to do that from my phone or via Google Play.
I have an HTC Desire 530 running Android 6.0.1 with latest security patch 01/17/2018.

I understand the inconvenience.
Please follow below mentioned steps to disable Device Administration and then try uninstalling AVG Antivirus free.
1. Open Device Settings.
2. Select Security option.
3. Uncheck Device administrator.

Please make sure you enable once uninstallation is completed successfully.
