Hi Kitty,

I bought a new Macbook computer and installed AVG on it. I transferred all my files from my old Macbook to the new one. Now AVG sees Trojan Horse FakeAlert.AET and removes it. So I had AVG scan the backup usb drive and it found 4 files with Trojan Horse FakeAlert.AET in them but can't remove them. And the old computer that has this in it, can't use AVG because it's Snow Leopard version 10.6.8 and AVG won't work on that version. So how do I remove Trojan Horse FakeAlert.AET when I can't install AVG on the old Macbook? The antivirus software installed in it doesn't even see it. Please help. Thanks.
Thank you but that doesn't help. Those instructions are for a PC. I have a Mac. How would I know if the detection is false in a Macbook?

Hi Kitty,
You should be able to simly delete them, you can also refer to this article first (http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/How-to-report-a-false-incorrect-detection/) to find out if detection is valid.
Thanks
