How do I set AVG Ultimate internet security to allow my scanner to work through my local network

Hi Derek,
I regret for the inconvenience caused. Please apply the below settings in AVG and check if the issue is resolved.
1. Open AVG->Internet Security->Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Network Profiles->change the network profiles from Public to Private and click OK to save changes.
2. Open AVG Internet Security -> Click on Menu in the top right corner -> Settings -> Components -> Firewall -> Customize ->Profiles->System Rules->Enable the 'Allow windows file and printer sharing and click OK to save changes.

How do I set AVG Ultimate internet security to allow my scanner to work through my local network?
I have tried putting the scanners  address in the exceptions but it is still blocked. If I turn off AVG the scanner works normally.
The scanner is a Lexmark CX310dn multifunction device and has worked perfectly until recently.

Thanks
Hi Avinash,
I have applied the changes in part one of your answer but I do not seem to have a heading "System Rules" as in part two.
However the first change seems to have done the trick.
I am using an up to date copy of Windows 10.

Thanks for the prompt reply

Derek
