How do i stop scan on start up. its stuck on 10 percent for the past 4 hours. i have to do work on lap top but dont know how to stop this scan and get lap top to skip scan command on start up and go straight to windows8. HELP!

Nikki, Are you using the scheduled scan mode setting within AVG [Advanced Settings}?.

I rang AVG in the end and have now managed to stop the scan and changed the settings.

How do I stop scan on (c)drive on start up? It's been stuck on 10 per cent for past 4 hours.I don't know how to stop this scan and to get AVG to skip scan command on start up so it goes straight to Windows8.
