How do I uninstall the app if I'm not able to deselect allowing AVG to be a device administrator?

Hello Jason,
I'm sorry to hear about this. In this case, I request you to reset the application at first, then uncheck the application from device administrator, after that try to uninstall AVG program from your android phone. To do so, navigate to the location mentioned below. Device Menu -> Settings -> Apps/Application Management -> AVG Antivirus -> Tap on clear cache and clear data -> Force stop the app once.  Then, please go to device Settings -> Security -> Device administration -> Uncheck AVG Antivirus. After that, please try to uninstall AVG application.

I apologize for the delay in response. It seems to be an OS issue as the settings are provided by the OS. I would request you to contact the device manufacturer support once or perform a factory reset.

I've already tried that, I don't have the option to force stop. Each time I go into the settings to deselect AVG as the device administrator it crashes. I have probably tried every generic support suggestion there is.

How do I uninstall this app? Every time I go into settings to deselect device administrator it crashes. Everytime I try to change the setting on anti-theft to remove it as device administrator it crashes. I really don't want to have to reset my phone to factory settings.

I appreciate your effort in resolving this issue. Please let us know if you're using  AVG paid program or AVG Free Antivirus on your android mobile, also let us know which version of AVG program you have installed on your mobile phone. If possible please share a screenshot of AVG user interface to assist you further.
