I am having the same issue with my fathers account. He has been charged approximately $1000 on auto renewal and $500 after I found out and cancelled the account which was 12 February 2020. I didn't even know he'd been already charged approximately $500.
Please help me recover the monies illegally taking from my father.
He is an old man suffering from Parkinsons with diminished mental capacity who cannot afford this outrageous cost for products he has never used or in fact can even use.
AVG is the most rigged, horrible and just terrible app I have ever used. Makes things slow, makes my pc stopped working (have to get a new one) and it just does not work. It has this pop up and now my laptop just won't charge won't open any apps and AVG is just stuck on my screen. I can't get rid of it I restart, shut down and you name it. Nothing changes. This app needs to be deleted the company needs to get deleted.
I have just been charged many days in advance on the renewal date and after I unsubscrebed to this service months ago. I can find no customer support portal (unless this chat room is it?) and no means of obtaining a refund for a service I do not want for another year and that I have been charged for in advance. How do I get this resolved?
I am going through a total nightmare with AVG. I stopped my antivirus with AVG in 2016 when i changed to Bullguard. In March i discovered they have been taking a payment out of my Paypal account for the last 3 years. I have contacted them on numerous occasions sending them the evidence they have asked for. They have now ignored me for months & i have still not received a refund of the payments they took out of my account. This is theft as i have no products with them. It looks like i will have no option but to take legal advice as i am getting nowhere.

STANLEY CONWAY I have paid and activated my AVG Tune Up SNRN84-YR8R2J-48479W and the computer is still very slow working and pop up ads keep appearing on my screen.
I am very sorry for such destabilizing encounters you have been faced with. I have checked your account (from the email which you have contacted us) and see that you have renewed & increase the AVG Internet security license- 2 computers for the total cost of $137.98 on 2016-07-06. I don't see any other charge made for $250 also, we won't charge our customers to provide technical support.
It would be helpful if you could provide the proof of purchase/receipt of the recent charge to locate the details. I have sent you an email, please attach the receipt of $250 to assist further.
Really unhappy with AVG!!! I have had a lot of trouble with their antivirus and their customer service. Before they would help I had to pay around $250. With that I was told I would get a renew of my anitvirus as well as AVG tune up for 2 computers. I was also told that I have already got the tune up on my computer with my current protection. However, it is not the case. I have not got tune up at all and was told today that the $250 did not include a new subscription to the anti virus and tune up protection but only included help for problems. I was lied to on two occasions and would never have spent that amount of money for help only. On the occasions that I spoke to the staff in India, they were at times rude and dismissive of me. Not happy. But how do you make a complaint?

I have sent you the receipt for the transaction I was talking about. You say that no charge is to be made to customers. They refused to help me until I paid the money.
