How does one get rid of Microsoft Edge?

Please follow the below instruction and try to uninstall your Microsoft Edge,
1, Go to Apps & features.
2, Select the Microsoft Edge item.
3, Click the Uninstall button. Source: Windows Central.
4, Click the Uninstall button again.
5, (Optional) Select the Also clear your browsing data option.
6, Click the Uninstall button.

If you already tried the above method, please let us know whether you receive any error message or popup while uninstalling it. If yes, could you please share the screenshot of it to investigate further?

Every time I move my cursor a panel appears with Microsoft Edge. I've tried uninstalling the darned thing and every time I have to click on Google and then click on the offending page to delete it!
I don't want Microsoft Edge!!
