How to activate my AVG - Renewed and paid today

I paid my subscription to my one pc for the year (rec'd my receipt via email) and I believe I need to activate it.  I missed the activation code and didnt copy it.  Does it automatically update for another year and I am good to go…or do I actually need to find the activation code and activate AVG…
Ps …I have been into "manage my subscriptions" and it shows nil subscriptions to activate ?
